If  "WE" ever shared a moment?

Was it over a meal?

Did I steal your heart?

Perhaps it wasn’t real

Was it a conversation?

A glance or a gesture

Was it a simple hello..

To then start a venture

Did we laugh out loud?

Or maybe you made me cry

Had I made you proud

Or did you plain out lie?

Did I make you smile?

Maybe you said you love me

Adored my charisma?

How young at heart were we

Did we ever dance?

Or make love

Did we give it a chance?

Maybe all of the above

Was I a good friend?

A Friend or a foe

Did I comprehend

Attentive or no

An inspiration was I?

Did I get you excited?

Did I ever ignore you

Or was slightly shortsighted

Did we ever kiss?

On the lips or the cheeks

Indulge in bliss

Or break up for weeks

Perhaps we were close

Or only encounters

Shared homes together

Or for just a few hours

Did we ever get married?

Or was it casual

Were we a couple?

Or a treaty consensual

Well today my darling

Which ever "YOU" were

Some moments are clear

Some moments a blur

I write "YOU" this poem

It's simple.. I know

My course to reveal

Pure expression and show

If "WE" shared one second

Of joy and elation

For each dimple and twinkle

Utter jubilation

I thank "YOU" my dear

For that moment I treasure

Whether for love

Your Friendship or leisure

Plenty I have said

So much more I could say

I wish "YOU" more moments
